Hyde Park and Parkland Estates are historic, with stately older homes on tree-lined streets, and Palma Ceia and Bayshore Beautiful fill in around them. On the estate streets the house is meant to be seen from the road and the water both. In the historic blocks the job is flattering original brick, deep porches, and old oaks without washing the character out of them.
The best neighborhoods here sit right on Tampa Bay, Hillsborough Bay and Old Tampa Bay, so a large share of these homes take salt air and humidity year-round. That single fact decides what hardware survives, and it is exactly why box-store kits fail here so fast. South Tampa also keeps genuinely old tree-lined streets, so many properties give you two different things to light: a waterfront elevation out back and a canopy of mature oaks out front.

Yes, that is what we build for. We use sealed, low-voltage fixtures rated for coastal conditions, which is the difference between lighting that lasts on the bay and lighting that corrodes in a season.
