Trinity Exterior Lighting FAQ
The questions Trinity homeowners actually ask before they pick up the phone. Real answers, no hedging.
Below are the 8 questions we get most often. If yours is not here, call us and we will answer it on the spot.
Can you really not see the lights during the day?
Correct. The LEDs sit in a slim aluminum channel that we color-match to your soffit or fascia, so from the street it disappears. At night the only thing you see is the light itself, never a cord or a row of bulbs.
How is this different from the Govee lights I see online?
Govee and similar kits are consumer-grade and DIY: you are still up a ladder, plugging into an outlet, and replacing them after a few seasons. We install a professional, hardwired, low-voltage system on a permanent track, designed and warrantied for the Florida sun and rain. It is the difference between a string of lights and part of your home. One detail worth knowing: our system uses RGBW LEDs with a dedicated warm white diode, so warm white actually looks warm rather than the clinical blue-white that cheaper RGB systems produce when they blend colors to fake it.
Do the permanent lights only work for Christmas?
Not at all. Most clients run a soft warm white every night for year-round curb appeal and safety, then switch to red and green for Christmas, orange for Halloween, red-white-and-blue for the Fourth, or their team colors on game day, all from an app. (That color and app control is specific to the permanent system; our traditional Christmas lights are a fixed color you choose.)
How do I control the permanent lights?
The permanent system runs from a dedicated phone app: scheduling, dimming, color, zones, and dusk-to-dawn automation. Set it once and forget it, or change the whole house whenever you like. (Landscape lighting comes with set-and-forget timers, with app control as an option; traditional Christmas lights are on/off, and can be put on a timer or smart outlet.)
Will the install damage my roof or soffit?
No. We fasten and seal the track to the fascia or soffit, never by puncturing your roof or shingles. With over 25 years of low-voltage experience behind every job, a clean, code-conscious install is the entire point.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Architectural Ambiance is fully licensed and insured, and family owned and operated. In a field that is largely unregulated, we are also one of the few actually certified to do this work, and our co-owner brings over 25 years of low-voltage experience to every install.
What does it cost?
Every home is different, so pricing depends on the lineal footage, the rooflines, and the system you choose. For homeowners already paying a professional to install and remove holiday lights each season, a permanent system typically pays for itself in about two years. We start with a free design consultation and give you a clear, written quote with no obligation. Financing is available. Call (727) 222-3111 to set it up.
